We spent the rest of the week preparing ourselves for an extended amount of time away from home. Zeek and my momma assured us that they would check on the cabin from time to time, and make sure nobody was vandalizing it or doing any other crazy s**t.
We were taking the spider and Snowball with us, so there was no need to ask anybody to take care of them while we were gone. Luckily, the spider's cage wasn't huge and elaborate, so it would be easy to transport. We would still have to stop from time to time to get either crickets or little pinkies for it to eat, but that didn't bother me one bit.
