The rays of the sun heated my face through the windows causing me to stir awake. I winced when the light hit my still sleepy eyes and turned so that I was on my back. I placed my forearm over my eyes to shield it from the sunlight and reached out with my other hand in search of Justin but my hand felt nothing but the warm bedding beside me. I shifted again, my back now facing the window, and I still could not see Justin anywhere in the room.
