  Both of Broderick's parents died in a car accident. Thinking back now, it wasn't about control-he was just scared something would happen to her too.   That accident had really left a mark on him.   Leslie's eyes sparkled, like tiny stars lighting up.   Broderick's expression shifted the moment she pointed out what was on his mind. Clearly uncomfortable, he suddenly let go of her hand, his face darkening. "Stop flattering yourself!"   Leslie burst out laughing, then took his hand again, opening it gently.   To Leslie, someone who had a slight obsession with hands, Broderick's hands were undeniably attractive. She finally had the chance to admire them up close.   She pressed his palm against her cheek.   Her skin was unbelievably soft. Smooth and cool, like silk soaked in cream.
