CHAPTER SIX

893 Words
The sun shines down on my face blinding my vision so I place a hand over my eyes and look for any trace of my friends. I really should have brought my shades out with me. As the waves crash against the sand I walk further out hoping to see them. I look toward the north and I smile as I notice Bethenny and Robbie tossing a beach ball in the air and hitting it so it won't touch the ground. When I arrive towards them they send me a smile and Robbie drops the ball causing Bethenny to pout and they both run towards me, sand flying everywhere from their little sprint. For some odd reason, their run reminded me of that cheesy 90's tv show Baywatch. "It took you long enough!" Robbie huffs crossing his arms over his chest and pouting his plumped lips. I roll my eyes and smile. "Well hello to you too." Bethenny smirks at us and takes a seat on her towel and spreads her legs out in front of her and I do the same. I reach for the tanning lotion in her bag and I apply some on me and rub it in. "What took you so long?" She asks putting her shades over her face. I close my eyes and bend my head back and I breathe in as the smell of fine ocean water sprays against my body. "Ace had to stop me to tell me that we can't go in for a couple of hours because he and Ryan will be busy," I say scrunching my nose as my little talk with Ace runs through my mind. I can hear Beth talking but I don't focus on what she's saying. My mind is too busy on my little in counter with Ace. The way his hands ran down my body and how his plumped soft lips felt against my neck. I wonder how they fill. Do they fill soft just like they look? "Hello, chica! Are you in there?" I snap my eyes open and look at two dark figures and I look at Beth and Robbie, but they aren't alone. Instead, two guys stand covering the sun from my view and I have to squint to see them from behind the sun. One guy has blond hair and green eyes while the other has black hair and blue eyes. I give them a soft smile and Bethenny stands up from her towel. "Alex, Tanner and Lincoln offered us a game of volleyball." She says putting her shades back on. "I'm Tanner," the black haired boy says. "And this is Lincoln." He says pointing to the blond with his thumb. "Hello. I'm Alexandra. But my friends call me Alex." Tanner and Lincoln smile and they nod their heads. Robbie claps his hands and he stands up from his towel and starts shaking his butt. "Are we going to play or what?" We all say yes and I stand up and follow behind Lincoln, Bethenny, and Robbie. Tanner is by my side. I turn to Tanner and offer him a smile which he returns. "So how long have you been here?" He asks looking down at the ground. "We just arrived. My sister and her boyfriend are back at the beach house." I say pointing behind me. Tanner nods his head and looks up as a bird fly by. "Are you here for the weekend?" I nod my head and he smiles. "Same. Hey, Lincoln and I are throwing a party tonight. You should come by." I nod my head smiling. "That would be great! Where at?" "Up by the pier. It's a green beach house. You wouldn't miss it. It starts at eight." "Great! I'll see if I can make it, as long as I bring my friends." I say smiling a little. Tanned laughs and shakes his head. "Nope, the more people come, the better the party is." Tanner and I continue on talking until we reach the group where everyone is already setting up a game. I wave goodbye to Tanner and tell him good luck with the game and walk over to the left side of the court where Robbie and Bethenny are. I look at Tanner one last time and watch as he-man hugs a guy with shades and brown hair. Bethenny clears her throat and I turn my attention towards her and raise my eyebrow. "What was that about?" She asks pointing over to Tanner. I blush and look down at the sand under my toes and shrug my shoulders. "Nothing he just invited us to his party tonight." Bethenny rolls her eyes. "Okay." She says sarcastically. I shake my head at her and look at Robbie who has a smile on his face like twisty the clown from the fourth season of American Horror Story, freak show. "What?" I asked raising an eyebrow. "He so likes you." "He does not." I blush. "We just met." Bethenny and Robbie laugh and reply with their sarcastic okays. I roll my eyes but smile anyway and turn my attention to the guys. Tanner catches my eyes and waves which I return. Maybe Tanner does like me. I blush at the thought and look down I hear a slap of a ball and I look up as the game starts.
