"Two tickets please," Tanner says to the lady behind the booth. I put my hand on his shoulder to tell him I would pay for my own ticket but he turns to me and shakes his head. "I'm paying. No buts." I let out a breath and step back, the sea wind hitting me causing my red curls to fly around my face. "Okay, here is one ticket, for one beautiful girl," Tanner says smiling at while handing out a yellow wrist band. I blush at his words for calling me beautiful and hold my wrist out. He ties it on in place and I thank him with my smile still on my face. "Come on, let's go." He says grabbing my hand and slowly we start to walk through the gates. The sound of laughing and screaming and the smell of fresh popcorn and junk food surround us as we walk through the carnival. Lights flash against
