It was still dark, but I could already hear the birds chirping. I had been awake for quite a while but couldn’t get myself to move from the bed. After the embarrassment of getting caught sniffing Evan’s clothes last night, I had told him that I was only wiping my face. I didn’t know why I felt the need to justify my actions. I kept putting myself in awkward situations. Because of everything that happened last night, I didn’t know how to face Evan.
Probably, I looked like an i***t to Evan already. Even though that was the case, he was still very gracious to me. Not only had he offered his clothes for me to wear, but he also gave up his comfortable bed for me to sleep in. I could have slept on his tiny sofa, but he had insisted I sleep on the bed.
