It was the day of the purple dusk, and I was still unaware of what to do. Sam said to just follow our instincts. Actually, it was Nathan who was going to be there with me. He would take over Sam’s body. I remembered how Nathan felt bad about it because he would not be the one in charge and that Nathan was throwing it to his face. I could only shake my head at how naughty Nathan was.
Mom bustled around the palace, her movements swift yet graceful as she prepared for the purple dusk. I was supposed to be helping her, but she waved me away, telling me to take a rest or practice with Sam. I was shocked at how frank Mom could be.
