Kendra POV As I lay awake in the darkness of the cabin, my thoughts were consumed by how much I missed my mom, Uncle Blaise, and Brandon. Not that I didn’t miss my dads, but I was thinking of the moon pendant too, and the reason Amy wanted it so much. Brandon had seen the jewelry, but I didn’t tell him anything about it. If only I could ask them, a lot of the questions in my head would have been answered. “Why aren’t you sleeping?” Evan’s voice broke through the silence, pulling me back to the present moment. The rain had stopped some time ago, but it was still cold. Even if it wasn’t, I wouldn’t have left Evan’s bed. I sighed softly, my gaze drifting to the ceiling as I wrestled with my thoughts. “I just miss some people, uh, my magical family,” I admitted. “And I can’t stop thinking
