Kendra POV With our faces mere inches apart, I could feel the warmth of Evan’s breath against my skin, sending a shiver of awareness coursing through my veins. I heard a soft thud beside me. Evan probably dropped our bags of food on the ground. Not a second later, I felt his arm wind around my waist and his other hand caress the side of my face. I wanted to open my eyes to see what was happening, but I was too afraid of what I would witness. “You’re too stiff, Candy.
