(Sloane) I woke up to sunlight streaming through my bedroom window. For a second, I forgot where I was. Then I felt the warmth next to me and remembered. Kieran. He was still asleep, his arm draped across my waist. His face looked peaceful. Relaxed in a way I'd never seen before. I should have felt guilty. I was still married. The divorce wasn't final for another eleven days. But I didn't feel guilty. I felt something else entirely. Safe. That thought scared me more than anything Emily had said last night.
