(Kieran) I woke up to sunlight coming through the window. For a second I forgot where I was. Then I felt Sloane next to me. Her head on my chest. Her arm across my stomach. I looked down at her. She was still asleep. Her hair was messy. Her face peaceful. I'd never felt this content before. This right. Being with Sloane wasn't like anything I'd experienced. It wasn't just physical. It was deeper than that. I wanted this. Every morning. Waking up next to her. Starting my day with her. My phone vibrated on the nightstand. I reached for it carefully, trying not to wake her.
