The plans were finally finished. After weeks of sketches and months of arguments, it was finally time. The cabin was no longer just an idea on the whiteboard. It was real. It was happening. I grumbled and scratched my buttcheck as I made my way into the kitchen. I had woken up alone, but I found Harley in the kitchen. She grinned when she saw me.
“Good morning, babe,” she greeted. I grunted in response as I poured myself a cup of coffee. “Ah, don’t be so grumpy. Today is the day everything begins,”
“It should have been a week ago,” I muttered before I took a long sip of the scolding coffee. Harley shot me a look, and I shrugged. “Sorry, love. I am excited, it’s just…it has taken a lot longer than I expected,”
