That was the last entry; she didn’t write anything else after those last words. I’m guessing that is when my grandfather and uncle attacked, meaning… those were practically her last moments.
Through her diary, I’ve learned a lot about her and some things about vampires. In the beginning, she explained what vampires could do.
I could shimmer, which was way quicker than my werewolf run, and compel people, but I had no idea how to do that yet. I could also heal quickly and had enhanced strength—though not quite as strong as my werewolf side. But the most interesting part was the blood magic. According to Elara's notes, royal vampires could manipulate their own blood for protection spells or even offensive attacks.
Which is what she used to protect me.
