Isabella’s POV
“Do you think Jared is acting weird?” I asked Liam through our link.
I knew he had found out about Kathy’s lies, but he seemed to suspect more than I expected.
“He isn’t falling for Kathy’s tricks, that’s all,” He replied.
I frowned, not entirely convinced. There was something off about Jared’s behavior—something that went beyond just finally seeing through Kathy’s lies. He had been too calm, too composed, almost as if he had been expecting us. And the way he looked at me… it was different. There was a flicker of something in his eyes that I couldn’t quite place, making me uneasy.
“It’s not just that,” I said as I tried to figure out what I wanted to say. “He is being mean to her as if he knew something.”
“Perhaps he does, baby,” Liam replied.
