She ran as fast as she could and didn’t know when she had stopped in front of her best friend’s home, she snuggled her tears and made her way towards the door and knocked lightly on it. The door opened and she gazed at her friend who hadn’t expected her to show up suddenly.
“What’s wrong Ivelle?” She asked with a concerned gaze.
Ivelle pushed her way past her and crashed on the floor, letting the tears gush out of her eyes as she wailed. Lavenya quickly pulled her into a hug and gently stroked her hair to calm her down.
“Please tell me what’s the problem,” she inquired.
“How could he do this to me? After all the time we have spent together? Is this how he had to end it?” Ivelle continued to cry and leave her friend in the dark, totally confused but remained patient, knowing she was going to spill what happened.
“Ivelle please calm down and tell me what happened,” Lavenya asked her one more time once she seemed stable, she helped her up to sit on the couch comfortably and quickly went to bring her a cup of water, Ivelle gulped it all down within a second and sighed.
“Are you willing to spill what is going on?” Lavenya asked.
“Mavros…. He cheated on me.” She revealed and burst out in tears again, her body trembled uncontrollably.
“What do you mean by that? You live with each other so why would he change that all of a sudden? Are you sure about what you have seen?” Lavenya was in disbelief.
“Do you think I would just make things up? He even did it right in front of me with Fayra!” A gasp escaped Lavenya's lips upon hearing this. “I can only wonder how long they had to do it behind my back because it’s obviously just not today.”
“That witch! If only I could squash her right now.” Lavenya scowled at her thoughts.
“And to make it all worse, I found out I was pregnant for him.” Ivelle continued to cry as she spoke, a part of her had broken even more due to the recent heartbreaking activities that were happening to her.
“What?” Lavenya gasped, with her eyes wide open. “That bastard.” She mumbled not catering if it was treason to insult the alpha of the pack. “Maybe you can tell him and he can finally accept you back.”
The idea sprouted hope in her heart once more, Ivelle knew just how desperate Mavros wanted to have his child, if she told him then he would toss away Fayra and claim her as his mate and Luna. “That’s right!” A small smile formed on her cheeks. “I’ll go tell him about it.” she sprang up but Lavenya held her hand.
“Where do you think you’re going by this time?” she asked worriedly.
“I will relay the news to him, then he will be able to claim me as his mate and accept our child.” Ivelle’s eyes shimmered with excitement and hope as she stared at Lavenya.
“That will have to wait till tomorrow, it’s raining cats and dogs, and getting a cold right now won’t be good for you and the child,” she explained, that was when reality kicked in, Ivelle had no idea she had made her way into the rain here and she was drenched and already shivering, she quickly gazed at the envelope with her but it was still safe since it was waterproof.
“Let’s go change your outfit and get you all dry, you can tell him tomorrow morning,” Lavenya suggested. Ivelle was reluctant but she was willing to do anything to make sure she didn’t lose her child. They both walked into Lavenya’s room and she got a nice hot bath before putting on some of her comfy baggy clothes. A few minutes later she was able to fall asleep while hoping the night would disappear right away.
Morning finally came and Ivelle quickly made her way out of Lavenya’s house to Mavros’s home in hopes of getting him back once he knew she was carrying his child. Walking right through the front door she caught sight of him and Fayra kissed and jerked in surprise seeing her.
“Why do you have a habit of disturbing us?” Fayra rolled her eyes and folded her arms on her chest as she glared at Ivelle.
“Where the hell have you been all night?” Mavros stormed towards her in anger. Who told you to leave this house huh?”
“I-I.” she stammered, unable to make a complete sentence.
“Where did you spend the night?” He thundered, making her jerk in surprise.
“She probably went to her lover's place to spend the night so she could teach you a lesson.” Fayra spat and Mavros got even angrier, causing his face to redeem and his veins to pop out.
“What? How dare you be with another man?”
“That’s a lie! I have never been with another man except you.” Ivelle swore.
“Lies! Why are you putting on a man’s vest?” She pointed at the clothes Lavenya had given to her the previous night.
“I’m pretty sure that’s her lover’s clothes, she had no shame and dared to come here and tarnish your image, don’t let her get away with this.” Fayra urged Mavros, who was still boiling in rage, that Ivelle had done such a thing.
“Mavy please don't listen to her, I can-“
“Keep quiet.” Fayra snarled at her without giving her room to speak, with Fayra in the room it was hard for Ivelle to speak because she was constantly shutting her up. Ivelle decided to show him the pregnancy result, maybe then she would be able to calm him down.
“Here… I have evidence….” Before she could continue speaking Fayra snatched the document from her hand and pulled out the result from the envelope and gasped in shock.
“she has no shame, you should throw her out right away, she has tarnished your image to the extent that all she deserves is to be banished from this pack!” Fayra snapped.
“What do you mean?” Mavros questioned her, seeming to be interested in what was in the document.
“That filthy pig is pregnant with her lover's child, she must have gone to tell him about it last night.”
Before Ivelle could debunk the lies she felt a resounding slap on her cheek followed by stings on her cheek as fresh tears welled up in her eyes. “How dare you lie to me?” Mavros snarled, his eyes gazing down at her as though he was about to cease her existence from the earth.
“What’s going on babe?” A man walked into the house amidst the ruckus and curled his fists around Ivelle’s waist, she turned to look at him bewildered as his face was unfamiliar.
“Is this your lover?!” Fayra hissed, pointing to the man still clinging to her like they were a couple leaving Ivelle in shock.
“Who are you?” She asked
