Her heart immediately shattered hearing those words, all the hope she had held in her heart were gone in an instant. “What are you waiting for? You got rejected so take that bastard of a child in that belly of yours and get the hell out of here.” Fayra snapped at her with a scornful gaze. Ivelle knew it was pointless to beg any further and decided to turn around and walk away, living in the pack after being rejected by her mate whom everyone knew how long they had been together would make her wish she was dead instead. “You know what?” Mavros pulled her back and yanked her against the wall. She stared into his face with fear, despite what he wanted now, her body was still trembling and her eyes widened in fear. “I don’t want to ever see this disgusting face of yours so I want you out of my pack,” Mavros ordered sternly before letting go of her, she slid to the floor and stared up at him in surprise. “I-I have nowhere to go.” She stuttered, staring at him in disbelief as more tears rolled down her eyes, if she were to leave then she was certain that her unborn child would die. “How is that any of my business? You’re being expelled from this pack and I don’t care where you go or if you die, no one needs you so perhaps you could go on and die.” Mavros shrugged his head before nodding at one of his guards who had come around. “Make sure she leaves this pack immediately and if you spot her anywhere close to this pack, kill her instantly.” He ordered. “Oh darling I think you’re being too harsh.” Fayra chuckled while entangling herself in his arms again. “We should take it easy when doing it next time, I don’t want to hurt our baby.” Mavros chuckled and gave her a peck on her lips before turning to Ivelle in disgust. “What the hell are you still doing here?” She carried herself up amidst the heartbreak and made her way out with tears in her eyes. She didn’t even get the chance to say goodbye to her best friend Lavenya. Ignoring the gazes as she was walking through the street she had one resolve in her heart, she was going to do all it takes to survive and also her child as well. She knew the world outside the pack was going to be filled with so much pain and for some reason, she felt like she could make it. Staring at the pack behind her one last time she sighed and walked away as fast as she could otherwise the guards could choose to end her life. The tall trees cast their shadows on the ground and although it was still day, the tall trees with thick leaves and branches covered the sky and cast darkness down. Ivelle was confused as she had no idea where she was going, she also did not want to run into any rogues as it could put her life in severe danger and also that of her unborn child. After walking for hours she came to a halt, leaned on the nearby tree beside her and sighed tiredly, she was gasping as sweat dripped down her face even though the environment was cool with little to no heat. Her legs were aching and she was close to giving up. Her stomach grumbled in pain and she was scared to eat anything random so as not to hit her child. She subconsciously rubbed her belly and sighed, she was slowly losing hope and wondered how much longer she could survive in this state. Just then a figure emerged from the shadows causing her to gasp in shock. “Who is there?” Ivelle asked, trembling in fear. She could only wonder if this were to be her last moment. “Who are you?” Her eyes scanned everywhere to find something to protect herself but she only found a thin stick that could easily snap, she picked it up regardless and held it in front of herself. “Calm down.” A soft voice spoke and for some reason Ivelle felt calmer, a young lady emerged from the shadows allowing Ivelle to see her properly. “W-who are you?” Ivelle questioned while eyeing her suspiciously with the stick between her and the young lady who didn’t seem like she was a lot of threat, although she wasn’t going to let her guard down, Rogue werewolves were another breed of monsters without sympathy as they would show no mercy when attacking you. “Are you really in a state to fight? I bet I could tackle you to the ground.” The lady snickered, staring at her trembling feet. “What do you mean? I could snap your head if I want to.” Ivelle replied boldly even though it was quite evident how weak she was. The lady smirked her lips. “Follow me.” She turned around and began to walk away. Ivelle had a confused gaze on her face and remained in the same spot. The lady halted and turned to look at her. “Perhaps you would get killed by some random thing or would you rather follow me to safety? Besides won’t you be doing yourself a favor by coming with me since you’re carrying a pup in you.” Ivelle was stunned that she knew about it at just a glance and wondered who she was. “H-how-“ “How do I know? I’m a nurse and suggest you come with me, I’m in a rogue group and there’s more security than being alone.” “And how do I trust you?” Ivelle was still skeptical and wondered if this was a way of kidnapping her. “I’m Kayla.” Her lips curved into a smile as she gazed at Ivelle. “And also a nurse, that’s why I know you’re pregnant.” With that said she turned around and began to walk away, Ivelle had been walking for hours and knew that her only chance of survival was following this woman, it would be better to die in her hands than anywhere else. Ivelle slowly walked towards her but kept a reasonable distance between them. “So where are we going?” she asked curiously. “We are going to meet the others, they are rogues like us and I believe they would have no issue accepting you.” She explained to Ivelle who nodded her head and continued to walk alongside her. Soon they got to the group and Ivelle was amazed by how organized they were, They lived as though they were a pack, and also they seemed quite weak outwardly, probably because of the scarcity of food because the hunting grounds were close to packs and that will be suicide to go there. Every head turned to gaze at Ivelle as though she was their next meal to pounce on. “I’ll take you to our leader,” Kayla told her while pointing to a tenth in a corner. Walking towards it, a lady made her way out while clenching her clothes tighter to wrap herself; her hair was disheveled and it was evident what she had done, just then a man walked out, adjusting his pants with a grin on his face, he was well over six feet with a broad and muscular fit. His skin sweated from his previous activities and he seemed as though he was yet to have enough, his long unkempt hair endowed with cowries seemed to dance to the rhythm of the wind, from his fit, it was evident that he was more of a warrior. His eyes immediately dropped on Ivelle and his smile grew wider as he walked towards her. “I found her lost and decided to bring her here, your grace,” Kayla explained while she was on her knees and her head to the ground. “Oh really?” His eyes danced around Ivelle, taking in every detail of her with a greedy smile. “Clean her up and bring her to me.” Without saying further he turned around and walked back into his tent. “Yes, your grace.” Kayla nodded and turned to Ivelle who was dumbfounded. “He just accepted me or what?” She questioned curiously. “Well not quite yet, he would still need to know more about you when you come by later.” Kayla smiled before gesturing for Ivelle to walk with her, she led her to a spring already prepared with scented herbs, Ivelle was stunned to see such a thing here. She had concluded that rogues could never get the best of life but this had surpassed her expectations. Ivelle turned to look at Kayla in disbelief, she could use a cool bath after those long excruciating hours walking around, she took off her clothes and got inside, she felt every tension in her muscles ease and sighed a breath of relief. “You can find your way back, right? There are new clothes in the corner.” Kayla pointed towards them before walking away leaving Ivelle to finish up, Within minutes she washed up and freed up feeling clean and less tired, she was offered food which she ate and surprisingly tasted nice, after which she made her way to the leader's tent. “Hello?” She called out from inside. “Come in,” he ordered in a thick masculine voice, she walked inside and took a glimpse of the small but comfortable place, it had a bed and a bag used to store clothes. “Come and sit over here.” he patted the spot beside him but Ivelle shook her head in refusal. “I’m fine, you don’t have to be afraid, besides refusing my order can be seen as an act of betrayal.” He arched his eyebrows at her and smiled as she slowly walked towards him. “I have so many questions to ask.” He said as soon as she sat beside him, she hated the distance between them but didn’t have any other option, if she wanted to survive she would have to be here. “Well then, go ahead.” She replied quietly. “Why don’t we start with your name?” He leaned forward until his breath was grading her neck, she shifted away uncomfortably, wondering what he was trying to do. “Ivelle,” she replied nervously. “Such a beautiful name for a beautiful woman.” He smirked as his hands found their way to her boobs, her eyes widened as she immediately sprung up from the bed and turned to him. “What is the meaning of this? Have you no shame?” she spat angrily but he wasn’t backing down, his face was now evident of anger and he wasn’t going to let her go Scot-free, no woman dared to speak to him that way and survive. He sprung up in anger and yanked her close to him. “I’m going to teach you why you should be a good girl.” He smirked and threw her to the bed, a cold air tingled her skin as all she could think of was to run off for the safety of her child but this man was rather too powerful brush off, looking around she found nothing that could be of use to her and only relied on one..:: her legs. She kicked his groin as hard as she could, sending him stumbling backward in pain. She sprang into action and began to run, not caring that she was barefoot and the stones were crushing her feet, all she wanted to do was get away from here and survive. Her heart continued to race fast as she ran into the woods, she heard heavy footsteps behind her and she didn’t dare turn back because she knew who it was. Fear surged through her body as she continued to run as fast as she could but her body was weak and slowly giving up, just then she felt his hands wrap around her waist and push her to the floor, she tried to wriggle her way out but to no avail, hot tears began to roll down her cheeks as she thought this was going to be the end for her. He lifted her dress and unbuckled his pants with an evil smirk. “Now I’ll teach you not to be naughty.” He laughed. She tried fighting back but she could barely lift her hands, just then she felt his weight being lifted off her and turf got up but was met with sharp pain and fell back to the floor, her eyes caught two wolves fighting and when she blinked again one of them was walking towards her. Was this her end? She hadn’t even had a rest yet.
