CHAPTER SIXTY-SEVEN Creek Town. The last time I’d been here was with Adam, for that late-night horror movie screening in the drive-by theater. The memory surfaces uninvited but not unwelcome, bringing with it a smile that tugs at the corners of my lips. That night… that laughter, the way he pretended not to be scared but jumped harder than I’d seen anyone during the film, it’s all locked away in a little corner of my heart.
