Emily smiled as she watched Peter pull up alongside her cabin. He got out and ran to her, she smiled as she opened her arms to embrace her best friend and brother.
“Did you have a good trip?” she asked him when he let her go.
“Wasn’t too bad, I made better time,” he informed her as she led him inside. “Woah, Emily, this place is awesome,” she beamed with pride as she gave him a quick tour and he set his bag down in the guest bedroom.
“Are you hungry?” she asked him as they went into the kitchen.
“Starved,” came his reply. They laughed, chatted and caught up as she made him something to eat. Toasted beef and tomato sandwiches. She watched as he devoured his food.
