I woke up feeling groggy, and I feel like I was run down by a ten-wheeler truck. It is still a bit dark, and only the lamp's soft glow illuminates the whole room. I looked down beside me when I felt something moved.
I was shocked to see the only face I wanted to see, Cassandra. She is sleeping so peacefully beside me with her arms around my middle. I touched her face softly, afraid that she might disappear. I am still not sure where I am and if I see things.
When my fingers made contact, she stirred. I am so happy to prove that she is not a figment of my imagination. She is really here, beside me, sleeping like a baby. I noticed that I have wires connected to my arms, so I must be in the hospital.
How did they find me? What about my dad? I will worry about that in the morning. F
