The next morning, Samuel went out of town all of a sudden. I woke up with a note on the pillow next to me. He told me that he's going on a business trip and that it was sudden and very important. He said he's coming back tonight and not to wait for him because he might get in late.
I felt sad about this out of the blue trip, but he's a businessman, and going on a business trip is normal. But why all of a sudden? And why didn't he bring me with him? Is he hiding something from me? I took my phone and dialed his number.
His number is unreachable, it's either turned off, or he's in a remote area where the connection is poor. I looked at the time and gasped. It's two in the afternoon already. I must have slept like a log for not noticing he's no longer beside me.
