Samuel stood frozen and looked pale. I gripped his arm and touched his chest. When he looked down at me, he had tears in his eyes and fear. I bit my lip, trying to hold back tears as well. I know how much he loves his father, and the thought of maybe losing him would be devastating for him.
What I don't understand, though, is why my sister Maria cried and my mom lost all color in her face? Maria is sobbing now, and my mom's tears are flowing down her face.
