LUKAS’S POV
I was struggling to understand why Mike had done this and why he had betrayed me in the way that he had. Had I ever done anything to him that made him think angry? Had I ever treated him unfairly? I couldn’t think of anything that I had ever done to him that could ever justify all that he had done to me. I had treated him like a brother that I had never had, but I guess he never appreciated that. Here was Mike, a guy that I had treated like my second in command standing over me with Damiena and Charles, the men that wanted me dead. I could understand why Charles hated me, especially after what happened to his father, but how could Mike do that?
