THE NATIVE OF THE EVER-NIGHT FOREST

Standing face-to-face with them was a huge plant with pointy teeth. In case if i may have forgotten, let me introduce ya'll to the famous Snappers. Snappers are born-blind plants that have enhanced hearing capabilities and a root-trap reach up to 10 meters ( root traps means the capturing of preys by entangling them in roots which burst outta the ground under their feet.) "Wha' to do now?", whispered the prince. Signalling to quietly sneak back Grendale turned around slowly and was about to sprint back, when luck went up to full mischief mood and right then a slight breeze blew a few twigs right under his feet. A nice long crunch sounded right into the forest. With elevated heartbeats the trio turned around and went ghostly white. The snapper had turned its head sharply towards them and flicked out its tongue, smacking its lips.
" RUN! ", shouted Grendale and all three beat a hasty retreat. They had barely gone a feet when roots started erupting around them. " We are trapped. God. How will we escape now?". Panic was rising as fast as the roots were closing in upon them. Right at that moment when the roots were about to shut a huge stone hand grabbed them by the neck and lifted them off to safety. Goltimer then threw them off far from the roots but himself got trapped. Picking themselves up from the ground, and dusting themselves both of them ran towards Goltimer. " Stop right there. Don't come any closer or it will trap you.", Goltimer stopped them. " Don't worry we'll get you outta there.", Koda assured and turned to Grendale. " We have to do something quick. We have to save him, but 'ow?". Grendale thought for a moment, and looked around for something that would help them.
When surveying his eyes fell back on the plant and he remembered something. The last time he had fought one it had tried to strangle him but right on time when he pierced the roof of its mouth and tore it open, all the stem and roots had fallen down dead and he could escape. "We have to kill the snapper to release Goltimer. We don't have any other option." Prince Koda's eyes went wide on hearing this plan. " But.. but have you seen how big that thing is? How are we supposed to do that?" questioned the prince. " I have a plan. But i'll need your help too your highness. We have to togetherly execute this plan." The prince was little afraid and would have backed out if Goltimer hadn't screamed in pain when the roots cut into his ankles. Prince Koda took one look at him and then nodded with determination," Okay. Lets do this. What do i have to do?". Grendale quickly explained the part where he (the prince) shall distract the plant from the other side long enough for Grendale to sneak behind it and then slice off its head.
Grendale gave Koda a dagger from his belt for safety and told him to be careful. Both shook hands and went to positions. On Grendale's signal Prince Koda slowly approached one of the roots and quick as lightning sliced it off. The snapper screeched and extended another root to catch him. But right on time he jumped out of the way and again sliced off this root too. Seeing the plant busy in trying to catch Koda, Grendale saw his chance and snuck behind the plant. A root erupted suddenly from beneath and immediately caught Grendale and lifted him into the air. Koda screamed, " Nooo" and before he knew it a root had caught him too. The plant's mouth widened to gobble Grendale. He struggled to escape its grips but in vain, the hold only tightened. When he was dangling right above its open mouth, it let go of him so he would fall right into it. Just when he was about to fall inside the mouth he spread his legs wide and wedged himself between its teeths. Before the plant could react he pulled his sword and plunged it into the roof of its mouth.
