Carlos POV

"I am used to this sir, there were people who showed me their guns in the past, and I am used to all of this, I am not at all scared, and yes sir, I am not lying to you, I am telling you the truth, I seriously don't know what you are talking about, but I want to tell you one thing, Mr Nelson doesn't trust you now, and if you kill me, I think you might lose your friendship forever I am afraid of that sir", I replied.

"What are you trying to say Carlos, you are just an unknown you know nothing about me and Christof, you have no right to say these words Carlos", Jared said grabbing my collar.

"You can't deny the truth sir, I can tell you that Mr Christof doesn't trust you now, you should pay attention in saving your friendship than in spending your time on me", I replied.

"I knew that you are not a nice man, the very first time I saw you, why are you here Carlos tell me the truth, I know that you are not here only for money, you are here for something else, and I will find that out, the day I find out your truth, and if you are here to harm Christof, think that, it would be your last day on earth, be ready to die Carlos", he replied.

"I can assure you that I will Never harm Mr Nelson, but I would protect him, and don't worry about me, worry about your relationship with mr Nelson, you might lose a good friend and I am afraid that Mr Nelson will lose a friend like you, he have already lost many people in his life, including good friends, anyways bother about that", I replied.

"What do you mean that he lost good friends, I was Christof's friend from childhood and he never had any other friend except me, he had few people in his life, but it was not worth calling them friends", he replied.

"I don't think you know much about Mr Nelson then, but you should know this, that I am not here to harm him, there many more people who want to harm mr nelson, you should be in search of them, and not me sir, you are wasting your time in me", I replied.

"I will never trust a poisonous snake like you, I am warning you stay away from Christof, if I see you near him again, I will shoot you, I won't know the reason why you are with him, but I will directly shoot you, if your life is precious for you, you will stay away from christof", he said.

"It's okay sir, I know that I am an unknown person and it is difficult to trust me, but please trust me, if you hurt me, you would make things even more worse, so please do do that, it would only ruin your relationship with mr nelson, and is would not like that, it would be really bad if Mr Nelson lost a good friend like you", I replied.

"Don't worry about that Carlos, Christof won't ever lose me, and nor will he break his friendship, for now I am leaving you, if you tried to harm Christof, or if I saw you near Christof, I am surely going to shoot, be ready for that Carlos, if you love your life you will stay away from Christof", he replied.

"That when time comes we will get to know that sir, but for now we need to think about our present right, no knows what is gonna happen in the future, but if you hurt me today you are going to regret it for lifetime, so please think before to taking any major step", I replied.

Jared left hold of my collar.

"I am not going to harm you today because I don't know anything about you, but I will surely find everything about you, and when I find out your true motive, no one's gonna save you from me, you will die that day, and I won't regret killing you Carlos, because a toxic man like you deserve to die, be ready for that day Carlos", he replied.

"I don't think that day will ever arrive sir, so don't worry, you won't have any reason to kill me", I replied.

"That we will get to know in the future Carlos, just stay away from christof, I don't want you to be close or any where near my friend", he replied.

"Sir, can I ask you a question?", I asked him.

"No you can't, I don't wanna answer any of your questions", he replied.

"But I would still like to ask you sir, are you jealous, that I would get close to mr nelson, and I would take your place", I asked him.

"I don't think you really like your life Carlos, if you would love your life you would never ask me this stupid question", he replied.

Saying that Jared left my car taking his gun which he had placed on my neck.

From my window I saw that there was a car waiting for Jared from a distance.

Jared entered inside his car and he drove off.

I knew that Jared didn't like anyone close to Mr Christof, I knew that he was afraid that he would lose his friendship. Jared feels that I would take his place, and he would lose his bestfriend because of me.

I tried to make him understand that if he would hurt me today mr Christof would never forgive him, because I would his only source to his wife, without me he will neve be able to find his wife, and if today of Jared killed me he would never get to his wife and he would never be able to forgive jared, and he would lose a good friend like jared, I know how it feels like losing a good friend, because I had lost a good friend.

After Jared left, I drove back to my place, it took an hour for me to reach home.

I opened my door with my house keys, I tried to not make any noise, because I didn't wanna wake or disturb my mom.

After opening my door I switched on the living room lights.

I saw that my mom was sitting on the sofa waiting for me.

"Hey mom, why are you not in bed, I told you right not to wait for me", I said.

"Carlos sweety, how can I sleep until you return back home, I was so tense about you, where were you, what took you so much time darling?",she asked me.

"Work mom, I had a lot of work today, and you know I am working extra shifts, as we need the money now, so if I don't work till late how will we get the money for your treatment", I replied.

"Darling I told you not to worry about my treatment, I will be okay, its god's will if he wants me to stay, or if he wants me to be near him, save this money for your future Carlos, don't waste it for me darling, you need to get married and have children in the future, you will need all this money, I don't want you to spend all your savings on me, we have to also pay the loan amount, orelse we would be homeless, because then we need to sell this house to pay the loan", she said.

"We can stay in a rented house mom, don't worry about that", I replied.

"No Carlos don't say that, this house is our everything, don't let this house be sold, it's your dad's gift to me, and it's his last thing that I have, I want you and your family to stay in this house, so don't ever sell this house okay", my mom replied.

"Don't take any tension mom, it's not good for your health please try to understand, the doc told me strictly, not to give you any tension nor to allow you to take any tension, it's not good for your health, amd please don't worry about the money, I have collected enough money for your operation, and mom I won't allow anything to happen to you, you are my everything, how will I live without you?, I want you to see my wife and my kids, you are the only one who can search a beautiful wife for me, I want you in my life my, I can't imagine my life without you, mom please take care of your health, for me mom, please take care of yourself, Don't worry about the money, you operation will be successful, please take a lot of rest mom", I replied.

"Don't worry Carlos, nothing is going to happen to me, I need to live to see your wedding, to play with your children, and spent some time with your family, and them I can die peacefully, but I won't die before your marriage, don't worry about that Carlos, I will secure your life, and then I will be ready for God to take me", she replied.

"I won't allow anything to happen to you mom, you are my everything and will do my best to make you already and treat your sickness, know that you are suffering with this, but you are not showing it to me, because you are afraid that I will be worried about your health, I cannot see you suffering, and I will try my best to cure you, so that your suffering will end", I replied.

"Yes Carlos I don't want you to worry about me, I know that you are working hard to collect the money for my treatment, the doctors told you that till you don't pay the advance they won't start the treatment, and you are not getting the loan, that I why you have to work more hard because of me, I am so sorry Carlos, that I am because a trouble for you", my mom replied.

"No mom you are never a burden for me, how can you say this, you will never be a trouble for me, you are my mom, how can you be a burden for me, I love you so much mom", I said.

"I love you too darling, after your father's death, you were the only one left for me", she replied.

"You had your dinner mom?", I asked her.

"No I didn't, I was waiting for you to return back home, but what took you so long to return back home on time Carlos?, it never took you so much time?", She asked me.

"Yeah I know mom, I had to finish some important work, so that why i am late Today, but I told you to have your dinner right, and not to wait for me, then why didn't you listen to me, you should have had your dinner, you that you have to take your medicine on time, then why didn't you have?", I asked her.

"How can I have my dinner without you, Carlos darling? I was worried about you because you didn't return back home, I was not hungry because of that", she replied.

"I told you that I would be late, then why didn't you have it", I replied.

"Okay fine Carlos, let's have our dinner together, how will a mother have her dinner without her son, and after knowing that her son is hungry, how can I fill my belly after knowing that", she replied.

"Okay so now I am home, let's have it together, come on, sit on the dining table, I will serve you food", I replied.

I helped my mom head towards the dining table as my mom was weak enough to walk and she needed support, so I was her support, I helped her sit on the dining table and I tucked a cloth on her neck.

I made the food warm, and I served mom food.
