I yawn as I wake up to the sound of my alarm going off. God, why did we need to wake up this early again? Aren’t we supposed to be off today? I stretch as I look at the time and realize that it is six o’clock in the morning. I groan as I roll back onto my side and snuggle closer to Nick’s chest. He is so warm and I don’t want to move. “Katie,” he whispers in my ear. “Come on, baby, it’s time to get up.”
I groan and shake my head. “Five more minutes… Please.”
He chuckles as he kisses my forehead and I feel him rub his nose against my hair. “I mean, I wouldn’t mind us cuddling for a little while longer, but don’t forget we have to get on the road before nine o’clock. We have a check-in time of three o’clock.”
