Chapter 8It was back to waiting. At leastI hadthe hologram and could amuse myself by playing the four major golftournaments. But my mind wasn’t on my golf, even though I wasplaying with Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods. The centuries sincetheyretired from the PGA produced no golfer who was better than thosetwo. Although Nicklaus’ record of eighteen major tournament winswas eclipsed a hundred and twenty years later by Brad Arndorff who,while a great golfer, wasn’t as great as Nicklaus. Woods, in hisprime, could get stuck in a fairway bunker in an impossible lie andstill knock the ball into a double axle and have it land on thegreenthree feet from the cup.
