Chapter 84
Inside Chraze, Dana and Cassandra stood side-by-side and watched the blackness as it neared. The great darkness was no longer a distant globe of menace. It now loomed above them so close it was hard to see that it was really curved. Every line curved inward as if falling down into a black hole.
Dana decided that made sense if it was an event horizon. The Software had placed a black hole across the threshold of all existence.
Dana had to struggle to not scream. Might have done so anyway if Cassandra hadn’t been there to see. She was glad to not be alone so she didn’t have to give in to the madness.
