Chapter 60 Sam drifted. Floated on a never-ending silver field. Drifted, flowed, flew along lines of iridescent energy. Intersecting lines, splitting, recombining. Splitting into a thousand pieces. A moment later, regathered into a single being of pure energy. How long had he floated? He didn’t know. How many times broken and rebuilt? Impossible to estimate. The millionth, maybe the hundred billionth time his energy regrouped, he wondered at his journey. A hundred thousand or half-a-dozen times later, the absurdity of the situation finally impacted his neurons. He was electrical energy. He flowed through circuits like a wing flowed through air.
