When I get back to the apartment I take a shower and get ready for the day. I have a day planned for Maleena. She doesn’t know it yet, but I am taking her to the mall to get anything she wants. We are going to go get our hair done and have a good lunch. All the kids have today and tomorrow off for the Luna Challenge. The council wants everybody there to celebrate whoever wins. I haven’t talked to Maleena much since she found out about the Luna Challenge. She resents me because in her eyes I could put a stop to this. Essentially, I could, but Fen and I know that he will reject us as soon as he finds out. He doesn’t want a mate and neither do we. If he rejects us though, Fen is convinced we will die or go mad.
