Ellis heard patiently as Caden spoke, almost animatedly about his yet another failed attempt of securing the land. The one that he wanted to gift King Camden for his birthday. Disappointment curled in the Alphas chest, which he tried to quell but failed. He should have known the owner of the land; an older widowed Alpha was as stubborn as they come, and nothing can make him change his mind.
