Abraham hiked with us in wolf form. He stayed at the back of the group, behind me. We had to walk one-by-one since the path was very narrow. Every time I lost my footing, I yelped and Abraham was there to balance me. His soft fur would come in contact with my skin and tingles would course through me. The effect seemed to be reciprocal since I saw him shiver the first time that happened and the next few times his wolf would let out a rumble of delight. By the time we got to the top, I was sure an hour had passed. Abraham quickly moved to scan the area, while Cole got a fire started for food. Up here, the wind was howling, pushing a new wave of coldness towards the south indicating that winter was almost upon us. I put on my jacket and shivered as I felt it heat up and keep me warm.
