Chapter Twenty-Nine

I couldn't sleep that night. No matter how much I tossed and turned it still wasn't enough to keep my eyes closed for long. The blankets were wrapped tightly around me in the dark cold night. To say I was nervous about the next day was an understatement, I was terrified.  Finally, after one last turn, I realized I wasn't going to be able to fall asleep soon and decided and get out of bed. I stepped out of my room and looked both ways, making sure everyone was asleep. I wasn't really in the mood for talking to anyone.  Once I was sure the coast was clear, I walked towards the stairs and tiptoed down to the main floor where I headed towards the kitchen. I grabbed a glass and took the jug to pour water into my cup. I drank the cold liquid and shivered slightly.  "Couldn't sleep either?" I
