Chapter Thirty-One.  Eliza stood in the basement floor of the ice palace. The room had small windows at the top of the stone, whitewashed, wall, which gave the space large amount of light. The seamstresses’ quarters took up half of the palace’s basement. Some of the rooms were filled with rolls upon rolls of different kinds of fabric. Whilst other’s housed manakins, wearing an array of exquisite dresses, and suites, as show pieces for those fortunate enough to solicit their services. Another, long room, held the seamstresses who worked diligently at sewing machines, whilst others, sat sewing delicate stitches and embroidery into the garments they were making.
