Cage
I walk around the hospital. My mind on everything and on nothing at the same time. I roam around, with my links closed, and my phone off. Why does that witch always talk in code? She has me feeling really stressed out. Why won't she just say things as they are? Apparently only my mil gets that honor. The rest of us are left guessing what she means most of the time.
I stop at the gift shop and buy my sister a card with her favorite candy and some flowers to brighten her mood, and hopefully soften her heart too.
Once I feel calmer, I return. I place the gifts on her side table. Everyone sits there in silence, and I wonder if they all stayed this way since I left?
No-one says anything. Rae is lying there, with her eyes closed. She is awake though. I know she is trying to avoid us
