I need to leave

Chapter Sixty Nine “I need to leave” As soon as I start bolting I know I’ve just made a big mistake. To wolves running is nothing more than a game of hide and seek, sometimes a rather deadly one. I run for about ten seconds before I hear a roar from behind me, signaling that Knox is coming after me. I push myself harder and faster, and start leaving a trail of fire behind me. I make sure the trail extinguishes itself every twenty feet because I’m not about to start a forest fire. That is the very last thing on my agenda. The first is to get some much needed space from Knox. I hear the running of water in the distance, and swerve away from it. That is, until I see the edge of our territory in the distance. Fuck. I know I’ve somewhat outrun Knox, because his footsteps are far away.
