Uh Oh

Chapter Seven “Uh oh” Juniper POV I wake up to the sound of the flight attendant asking me what I would like to eat. As I turn my head, I see none other than Knox sitting next to me. I inhale sharply, struggling to maintain my composure, but grit out my order none the less. I also order a gin and tonic. As the flight attendant makes her way to the next row, I let out the breath I’ve been holding in. “Well. Fancy seeing you here” Knox says. “Uh oh.” I mutter. “Yes, Uh oh.” Is his response. Although I would love nothing more than to curse him out, I stay silent. I am not in the mood to deal with this s**t. I’m already going to struggle in convincing my bulimia to stay dormant after I eat, I do not need to add Knox to my list of worries. As soon as we land I am getting away from him, and staying away from him. I will not let him disturb this much needed vacation. All I want to do is shop, sleep, sightsee, and go to clubs to find hot guys to make out with. I’m not looking for a f**k- I’m a virgin and planning to stay that way until a serious relationship comes along- but I need to take my mind off things. “Are you just going to ignore me, Juniper?” I dig my airpods out of my bag and put them in, listening to my Flume playlist on shuffle. After an hour of me not being able to fall asleep I grab an ambien from my bag. I’m out in 15 minutes. I only wake up when the captain announces our initial descent, at which point I stare out the window until the plane touches down. While the plane taxis to the terminal I form a plan on how to avoid the man sitting next to me. I rented out a car, so if he follows me I can get in the car and drive away. Until then I can try to lose him by pretty much running through the airport. My plan doesn’t succeed. As soon as I step off of the plane, before I can start running, Knox slips a hand around my waist and holds me snugly to him. “Knox, let me the f**k go.” His response is instant. “No.” He drags me to baggage claim, and after I get my bag I dodge him getting an arm around me again. Before he can say or do anything I swiftly make my way to the car rental counter, getting the keys in record time. When I glance behind my shoulder I see that he’s no longer in my line of vision. Maybe he had to go back to America? Maybe god noticed me and answered my silent prayers? Once I get to the hotel I hand my valet my keys, and go to the check in counter. And guess who’s already there? f*****g Knox. How did he manage to book the same hotel as me? I was told I got the last available suite? Completely ignoring his presence, I check in. Once I get my key I head to the elevator, paying no mind to the fact that he walks beside me. I step into the elevator, press my floor number, and continue to ignore him. I do, however, catch that he doesn’t press a different floor. Is he on the same floor as me? As the elevator opens I make a beeline to my room, only to have him follow closely behind. I turn, ready to snap at him, only to see him opening the door of the room next to mine. “See you later, my beautiful mate” he tells me. Fuck.
