I was tired, and I knew my body needed rest.
'Close your eyes. We are safe here and so is Lulu.' Sea said softly, her voice was lullabying me into a calming state.
She was right. I was safe here. Before I could even finish talking with my brother, my eyes shut on their own accord. I could still hear them all around me, but I felt as if I was in a state of relaxation but still aware. I have never felt this way before. It was as if my body was sleeping but my mind was staying focused on the surroundings. I wonder if this is a way my body is protecting me after what I have been through.
