POV (VICTOR) Since before I could remember Abelia was brilliant at the game of hide and seek. She was a quiet still presence in a room. A visage hardly seen, and barely noticed. Due to my arrogance I believed I could catch her. But try as I might, Abelia was a master of evasion, and just when she was within my grasp, like a trick of the light she would effortlessly slip through my fingers.
