My head was pounding. I groaned and opened my eyes. I was in a darkened room with just a little bit of light coming through the blinds of a window. I was on a long couch that was pretty comfortable. I heard beeping and looked around. I was in a hospital room and not far away was Gia in the hospital bed.
I jumped up as everything came flooding back to me. There was a chair next to her bed and I sat, grabbing her hand and bringing it to my face. I kissed her palm and stared at her. Her beautiful face was relaxed. She looked like she was just sleeping.
The hospital door opened and I looked behind me. Jace and Ashlynn walked in.
“Hey,” Jace said. He was a little wary looking as they came closer.
