The days felt short while the nights seemed long. Kassandra eyed the clock, groaning to herself. Noon. She should be panicking, be frantically reprimanding herself for being so late and yet… here she was, lying in bed, knowing that on a Thursday… she no more had to leave for her clinic.
She turned to her side, to caress Serena’s empty spot only to find Mr. Kitty there. She closed her eyes, wishing she could… in any way, reach that warmth she longed for. It’s been over one month now and so far… everything seemed to have been going well.
