Eileen's POV
After my birthday which ended on a good term, I resumed pack duties. We decided to sacrifice our weekends for the women's training and the day, we had Mr women showing up which truly made me happy and excited. It sure was exhausting being incharge of a project this bug but it was worth it.
I woke up to the sound of Alex's voice, his words laced with a sense of urgency. "Eileen, I have some news," he said, his eyes scanning the room as if searching for any signs of danger. I sat up in bed, my heart racing with anticipation, as I rubbed the sleep from my eyes. The morning sunlight streaming through the window highlighted the concern etched on Alex's face.
