Amy banishes Mammon.
Leon shifts and then runs to me as I also shift.
"I'm okay." I say. "What about you?"
"I am fine." He hugs me.
I then frantically look around. "What about Cole and Garnet?"
"They are fine. I had Charlotte and Aurora take them back." Marco says.
"She summoned him with your blood?" Amy asks now standing over Mercedes.
"Yes. This was all a trap to get to me." I say.
"A futile attempt." Ezekiel says.
"No, a desperate attempt." I say. "They are cursed to never be able to mark their mates. I am not trying to justify what they did but I sympathize with their situation. It is a painful existence."
Marco nods, agreeing.
"Let's head back."
Marco hands me his blazer and Ezekiel hands Leon his jacket.
