Avery’s POV
Before the radiation, I lived in Denver working as a cartographer. In cartography I collected data and updated maps as things changed and evolved in the land and in cities. I enjoyed the work most days and other days I got bored with it.
When the radiation hit I was at home watching my seismic machines go crazy with the shockwave that was going on. I liked to watch seismic activity in my free time. I know that makes me sound like a massive nerd but I digress.
When all the electricity went out I knew what had just happened to the Earth would leave a lasting impact, putting us back into the stone age in seconds. It could take us years if not centuries to crawl out of the darkness.
