Calum’s POV
I was so thankful when we found Alora last night. She was perfectly fine and had found shelter from the bad weather. She even had a little fire going inside the cave she was in. I needed to admit that she could survive on her own and she didn’t need me at all. I was the one that needed her. I wanted to be her protector but I couldn’t see how I could possibly protect her in any way.
I knew from the past that it would be hard to change her mind once it was made up when it came to anything. But should I try and change her mind about us anyway? I settled on seeing what happened throughout this trip and then what happened when we got to Fortuna. I wasn’t going to give up on loving her yet. I wanted to love her. I wanted her to love me back.
