Damien's POV.
As I was talking Ava was looking at me as if she couldn't believe what I was saying. I felt like swallowing my words but I had to do this. I can't lead her on. I am not ready for any commitment and I don't think I would be in the next ten years.
“I'm serious when I said I would pay for it. You can name your price," I said to her.
I knew I was rather blunt at the moment as I could see all her excitement and happiness had faded away. She was looking like she was going to explode. It's a good reaction but I don't just want her to break down into crying.
“I know it's my fault it happened, but I don't think I'll be seeing you again in the future. Let's just behave like this never happened. I know we both enjoyed the night but it can't continue."
