I headed toward my mother and Maxwell, not wanting to embarrass Declan in front of everyone by disrespecting his wishes.
“Are you okay, dear?" Mom asked, her eyes filled with concern.
I nodded as I approached. “Mom, I'm sorry for what happened—"
“No apologies are necessary. Max told me what happened." She placed her hand on my back. “Let's go inside. Declan, Grayson, and Xavier will be in soon."
My head snapped up, and Grayson, Xavier, and Quinn were standing with Declan, helping to organize the limos. Lady Katherine's Rolls Royce pulled up to the gates, and Declan rushed over to ensure she could get in. Before Mom had mentioned Grayson and the others, I only saw Declan. Then when I looked around, he wasn't alone at all. Grayson, Xavier, and the others were standing with him.
