20 | Weird Since I didn’t have anything to do, I went home to clean the dorm. It’s been days since I last cleaned the dorm decently, and I am just glad that Hunter seemed occupied by his classes, too, that he didn’t get to notice that the dorm is a little untidy. I started in the mini living room and even put plants in the corners to somehow help freshen up the air. Then I proceeded to clean the kitchen, the toilet, then next my room. I purposely put Hunter’s room last since I know it would require me so much time to clean his room, knowing how messy and untidy he is. And when I entered his room, he just proved to me that he was really the person I think he is. The first thing I noticed when I entered was his clothes—they were everywhere! I couldn’t help but make a face out of disgust as I looked around. I can also smell the scent of wet socks in the air. God! I quickly opened the window to let some fresh air in. Then I started picking up his clothes. It was just two days since the last time I did his laundry yet he already had a tower of dirty laundry. How many times does he change his clothes every day? Twice? Thrice? I shook my head and decided to not think about it. I took his laundry out and went back to clean his room. I also left some potted plants in the corners of his room to freshen the air. The last thing I did was to wash his clothes and mine. I had to make it quick so I could still hang it outside and let it dry under the sun. And after doing the laundry, I went to get some supplies. Since I still had a few hours left before Hunter comes home, I decided to take a nap on the couch, and it didn’t take me long to fall asleep. —— I don’t know how long I slept, but when I came back to my senses and opened my eyes, I saw Hunter’s face just inches away from me and staring at me intently. I then saw how his eyes widened in surprise when he met my gaze. He then quickly stood up and furrowed his brows. “Y-You!” He pointed me with his finger. “W-Why are you sleeping on the couch? It’s already 6:00 PM and you haven’t even started preparing my dinner!” he scolded, narrowing his eyes on me. “6:00 PM?” I murmured, looking outside to see the sky and as soon as I saw the darkness filling it up, I quickly got up and cursed under my breath. “S-Sorry! I’ll prepare your meal quickly,” I told him and stormed my way to the kitchen. I grabbed the ingredients I got earlier and started preparing them, and while I was cramming myself to make his dinner, I saw him enter the kitchen from my peripheral view. He quietly sat down in the dining area and observed me. “What?” I asked him while my eyes were set on what I was doing. “Just wondering…” he replied. “Of what?” “Of how tired you probably are right now,” he replied. “Hella tired,” I quickly replied before starting up a fire. “Wanna go home then?” he asked. I turned around and saw him grinning devilishly. “I rather drop in fatigue here than be there,” I told him, rolling my eyes. “Here, I only have to deal with a single àss,” I added to tease him back. “What did you say?!” he responded in an offended tone. “Do you really want me to repeat it?” He just hissed at me before he stood up and went to his room. “You cleaned my room?” I heard him ask in surprise. “Who else would it be? You?” I sarcastically replied. He then went out with just a towel covering his lower half. “Good job. I thought you’d leave my room messy for a few more days. I am already preparing to write a letter to my father to take you back.” “Well, it’s been just a day or two since I last cleaned your room. You should probably write a letter and tell Alpha Lancer how disorganized you are,” I sardonically said, grinning. His expression changed. I saw how offense painted his face as he narrowed his eyes on me. It only took him a few steps to close our distance, and I had to raise my head not just to look at his face but to also avoid looking at his chiseled chest. “What?” I asked. “You got problems with me?” I scoffed at his question. “Is that even supposed to be a question? Of course; a lot!” “I’m the next alpha of the pack,” he said, leaning closer to me. “And if you keep hating me, I might actually find some ways to banish you from the pack.” I met his gaze and even leaned forward to make our distance even closer. Our face is just an inch away from each other. “You can no longer scare me with that. I’ll willingly leave the pack as soon as you take over. The only reason I stayed up to this day is y—“ I wasn’t able to finish talking when I felt his lips on mine. My eyes widened and my hand moved to slap him out of impulse. “Y-You!” He just grinned at me and stood proud with a smug look on his face. “What?” “Why did you do that?” He just shrugged his shoulders before turning around. “Because you looked like you were asking for it,” he replied. “Hunter!” I screamed and was about to charge at him but he quickly went inside the bathroom and slammed the door close. “Fúck you!” I yelled at the top of my lungs.
