Chapter 45. When I loved and you didn't
(Flashback - After Jade said goodbye to Jared.)
Go back. Turn back. She ignored every instinct that was telling her to go back to him. If she went back, their relationship would always be about her doubt and his power. The dynamics would change and Jade knew she would resent him. She really didn't want to resent him. Now she could cry and she could curse and yell and scream at the unfairness of it all and she would move on, or she wouldn't... but she wouldn't be trapped in something that wasn't going anywhere. It was not good for her. She still had so much to do, her life had only still barely started.
She had to find her, she had to find a place for her in this world where she wouldn't just be an invisible ghost. She couldn't go back to Jared,
