Chapter 65. When We Married
(flashback - two years after Jade and Jared moved in together)
Jared was working. He found a freelance job to work with some software companies and Jade was in her final year. They were happy in their little, ramshackle apartment, with their little ramshackle life. They loved every second of every day, and Jade couldn't help but fall more and more in love with him. It was like a miracle when she found him. She had always wanted a family, her person, and he was her family now, her person. They often visited Carissa and the boys back in Bisbee. They spent vacations together and sometimes Carissa, Liam and Carter visited them in Berkeley. Life was going perfectly well.
