Billy had kissed me but I pushed him away immediately. I did not understand how things had changed so suddenly, but I saw Ethan standing outside the doors of the church. He had seen and heard everything. Billy looked at Ethan then smiled at me.
"I love you, Cia," he repeated the words then kissed me again. I was constantly trying to push him away but this time his grip was very strong.
"Don't push me away. I have come here to save you," Billy admitted as tears fell from my eyes. He was saying all of this in front of Ethan. Now I understood that my life would once again be ruined. Billy had kissed me in front of Ethan. Whatever had been written in those pamphlets had been proven true. Yet again he had witnessed me kissing Billy. Ethan would leave me now for sure. He would not marry me.
